On the mountain of Ueno, Higashi-Hanzan Kanei-ji was set up following Hienzan Enryaku-ji, and the Shimizu Kannon-do with a setting stage was also built. It is returned to Ashikaga by the war of the Meiji Restoration, but it revives as a cultural base.
