DetailsThe Sumida River, which gave birth to Edo culture, has been known to the people of Edo from the background of its history dating back to ancient and medieval times, and has created a distinctive space of holy and profane closely linked to water. The space history of the Sumida River is drawn from various angles, sometimes comparing with the Seine River in Paris and the Thames River in London, such as Unun, temples and shrines, places of interest, theaters, play areas, logistics facilities, flood damage etc.
