| Details | Katsuben is a uniquely Japanese performing art that narrates old silent films. Asakusa once prospered as the number one movie theater district in Japan, and many katsuben artists honed their speaking skills in Asakusa. Everyone, young and old, can enjoy it, so please feel free to drop by. Katsuben programs: “Tadaharu Kunisada,” “Blood-Smeared Takada no Baba,” “Miji Nogitsune,” “Chaplin’s Short Works,” etc. (Katsuben workshop available.) |
