| Details | Hamasaki Jinsei is a painter born in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, and currently based there. He continues to produce energetic works using a unique style that depicts ordinary scenes from everyday life in a way that is neither concrete nor abstract. The theme of this solo exhibition, his first at Atelier Uchino, is "night dew." The works on display depict the fleeting beauty and transience of drops of water quietly falling on plants during the night, superimposed on things the artist sees every day, such as cats and the scenery of Onomichi. The screens, projected with complex paint textures, are imbued with universal strength and nostalgia, and are sure to tell us a rich story.
