Introduction

In October 2010, Gallery Marumi Kyoya was opened on the 2nd floor of Japanese doll material Marumi Kyoya store building close to Kaminarimon, Asakusa. The building built in 1965 was renovated, and was reborn as a new art space while leaving the remnant of the Showa era. The space can be used not only as exhibitions of various genres such as paintings, ceramics, writings, photos, and crafts regardless of Japanese or Western, but also as a multi purpose hall for mini concerts. It can be used by professionals and general publics. I hope the place can serve as a space to pass down the traditional culture as well as the space to exchange new cultures and arts for everyone.
