Facility introduction

This museum conveys to future generations the culture and traditions of the downtown area, centered around Taito Ward. The first floor recreates the atmosphere and lifestyle of the downtown area in the 1950s, set in Sakamoto (now Negishi 3-chome), Taito Ward, where many vestiges of the old streets and buildings remain. The second floor displays materials that allow visitors to recall the culture and events of the downtown area through the ages. The third floor also houses a special exhibition room and a town information corner.
