IntroductionIt is built in 1890, which is the oldest Western music hall in Japan. Many Japanese great musicians performed on this stage. The hall was a facility of the Tokyo School of Music (the predecessor of the Tokyo University of Arts' Department of Music) and it was relocated to current location in 1987 and opened to the public.
