Cast | [Kazuki Sawa (violin viola)] Completed the graduate school of Tokyo University of the Arts in 1979. Received the "Ataka Award". Winners in international competitions such as Long-Thibaud, Wieniawski and Munich. He has been active internationally as a violinist, winning the Isai Medal and the Gold Medal at the Bordeaux Music Festival. Since 1980, he has been dispatched to London as an overseas trainee of the Agency for Cultural Affairs and studied under George Pauk and Bella Katona. In 1984, he was greeted by Tokyo University of the Arts and started full-scale performance activities. In 1989, he was dispatched to the Royal Academy of Music in London as an overseas researcher at the Ministry of Education, where he continued his studies. During this period, he decided to form Sawa Quartet by meeting members of the Amadeus String Quartet. Started conducting activities in '96. In 2003 and 2004, he led the Hibiki Hall Chamber Ensemble and in 2005 he led the Tokyo String Ensemble and was acclaimed for performing in various parts of the UK. He has also performed as a guest performer at the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra, etc. Received the Wakayama Prefecture Cultural Award in 2004. After working as a professor at the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, and as the Dean of the Faculty of Music, he was the President of Tokyo University of the Arts from 2016 to 2022. [Emiko Tadenuma (piano)] After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts Music High School, he graduated from the same university at the top. Received the "Ataka Award". After graduating from the same graduate school, studied under Ms. Maria Kurcho in London. In 1983, won the 3rd prize with Kazuki Sawa of violin in the violin / piano duo section of the Munich International Music Competition. In 1984, he held a solo debut recital in Tokyo and started full-scale performance activities. So far, he has co-starred with many famous artists in Japan and abroad, and has earned high trust. In 2004, he held a recital with his sister Akemi Tatenuma and a piano duo, and released the CD "Duet of gems by sister duo". In 2011, the CD "Schumann & Brahms Piano Quintet" co-starred with the Henchel String Quartet received high praise in music magazines. He has been working as a duo with Kazuki Sawa for more than 40 years, and has been invited to domestic and international music festivals such as Kufumo and Savonlinna in Finland, Bowdoin in the United Kingdom, and West Cork in Ireland. Appeared on BBC etc. In 2006, "Beethoven: All Sonatas for Violin and Piano" was successful in various parts of the country and in the United Kingdom. Currently a lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and Toho Gakuen College of Arts. [Aki Sawa (violin)] After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts Music High School, he graduated from the Faculty of Music at the same university. Received the Ataka Award and Acanthus Music Award on campus. In 2006, he won the second prize in the violin section of the 17th Paris International Bach Competition. For two years from 2010, he studied abroad at the Royal Academy of Music as an overseas trainee for emerging artists of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and graduated from the top with the highest Diploma of Royal Academy of Music (DipRAM). Received numerous Wilfrid Parry Prize, Roth Prize, Regency Award, etc. on campus. 2010/2011 London Symphony Orchestra trainee. Received Aoyama Music Award New Face Award and Matsukata Hall Music Award. He has performed with the National Philharmonic Society of Japan, the National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine, and the Kansai Philharmonic Society. In 2014, completed the master's course at the Graduate School of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Received the Graduate School Acanthus Award at the end of the course. Held a debut recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Currently, he is a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts and a concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of the Arts. |
